White Eagle Health Center
PUBlIC HEALTH tEAM

Your WEHC-Public Health Team is in the brown trailer on the WEHC campus, just diagonal from the main facility.
Services include, but are not limited to:
  • Home Visits: (wound care, nursing assessments-to be taken back to a provider for evaluation and follow-up, med planner assistance/education, lab draw-homebound only, specimen pickup-homebound only, nail care-elder and homebound, and any other tasks designated by Director and/or med provider) These visits are not intended to replace home health, PH is only an interim solution, all available resources will be used to implement long-term care when the situation necessitates.  These appointments/visits should be made by calling the WEHC @ 580-765-2501 to schedule.
  • In-house Nail Care: basic foot care services to the patients that facilitate health promotion, self-care activities, health risk reduction, and promotion of safety and comfort.
  • COVID/FLU/STREP Testing: Testing can be scheduled by calling 580-765-2501. Tests are administered at patient vehicle; testing is available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 11:30 am and from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Testing hours are restricted to provide ample time to treat and provide meds when needed.
  • COVID-19 & Flu Vaccinations: By appointment OR walk-in.
  • Domestic Violence Prevention: Utilizing an IHS grant awarded to the Ponca Tribe, WEHC/Public Health offers DVP services that include training staff to recognize DV, implementing screening tools, working with local and tribal agencies to establish a discreet and safe service route for patients/clients who disclose and request assistance. DVP also has held several educational events to promote awareness as well as health and wellness; please call 580-749-7313 for more information.  
  • Community Outreach: Public Health provides on-site first aid for any tribal programs, events, and gatherings: this includes the duration of Ponca Powwow with involvement in children’s activities and participation in parades, community events, etc. These services may be requested by calling 580-765-2501.
