WIOA APPLICATION

​The goal of The Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program is to provide services to qualified individuals to enter the workforce in a permanent capacity. We strive to enable the participant to begin a journey in the formal educational field that will provide them with an degree that will be influential to permanent employment.

Services Provided:
Job Training (technical and educational)
Career Tech and College Education
Referral Services for Childcare
Substance Abuse and Treatment Programs


Eligibility Requirements:
  • Are a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe or has a CDIB showing at least ¼ degree of total combined Native American blood
  • Is a resident of Kay or Noble County, Oklahoma. Proof of residence must be established by submitting an electric bill, water bill, gas bill or rent receipt/title of deed.  No bill in your name?  Please contact the education/training office for further instruction.
  • Is 25 years of age or older
  • Has a High School Diploma or GED (or willing to obtain a GED)
  • Will provide a college transcript if you have previously attended college
  • Can pass a drug test
  • Are willing to attend classes that will heighten their ability to obtain permanent employment

ADULT EDUCATION APPLICATION

Work Related Skill Training
Skill and Career Education
Supportive Services
Education Counseling, Financial Aid, and Tutoring


Eligibility Requirements:
  • Is a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe or has a CDIB showing at least ¼ degree of total combined Native American blood
  • Is a resident of Kay or Noble County, Oklahoma.  Proof of residence must be established by submitting an electric bill, water bill, gas bill or rent receipt/title of deed.  No bill in your name?  Please contact the education/training office for further instruction.
  • Is 14 to 24 years of age
  • Is an out of school youth at least 18 years of age desiring to obtain a high school diploma.
  • Can pass a drug test
  • Fall within the Income Guidelines required by the Department of Labor (these statistics can be obtained through the W.I.O.A. office located in the White Eagle Community)

Ponca tribe of Indians of Oklahoma
JOHNSON O'MALLEY PROGRAM

This incentive/attendance program is offered to Native American students from three years of age to 8th grade.

Services Provided:
  • Assistance with school supplies

Eligibility Requirements:
  • JOM is not able to buy any type of clothing, letter jackets, shoes, class pictures, or class rings, technical equipment or devices for students.
    Before an application is processed, a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) must be provided.
